Local powerhouses join forces - a new project “Hyperquant” was recommended for funding! Quantum technologies, imaging and virtual reality collaborate to improve diagnosis and personalized medicine!

In this application, the local powerhouses CAU, UKSH, MOINCC and GEOMAR join forces. The project is building on the outstanding local expertise in quantum physics, immersive visualization, preclinical and clinical studies to improve medical diagnostics. At the center of the project is hyperpolarized MRI, which allows to observe metabolism non-invasively and in vivo. The technique may allow for detection pathologies and treatment response earlier than before.
