Open postions in our hyperpolarization group led by Prof. Jan-Bernd Hövener:

  1. Group leader / PostDoc / senior scientist to work on "Human translation of hyperpolarized 129Xenon MRI" 
  2. Group leader / PostDoc / senior scientist to work on "Human translation of hyperpolarized 13C MRI" 
  3. Technologist / MTA-R, MRI and multimodal imaging for preclinical studies

In our lab, we have a variety of state-of the-art equipment:

  • 7T, 9.4 T Bruker (2020)
  • 1.5 T, 3 T Siemens (2022)
  • Polaris SEOP polarizer (2021) (+ SpinAlinger DNP (2021) + PHIP)

Our group:

  • 10+ colleagues in hyperpolarization
  • 30+ colleagues total in imaging
  • 15+ years’ experience in hyperpolarization
  • 10+ nationalities
  • Interesting local and international collaborations (chemistry, technology, etc)

Infrastructure:

  • 2nd largest university medical center in Germany – lots of patients
  •  Dedicated animal imaging facilities: MRI CT US PA Optical
  •  New research building with dedicated hyperpolarization suite being constructed
  • Funded program for human translation (13C and 129Xe)
