We are an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians dedicated to the development of innovative imaging methods for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in medicine and basic biomedical research. Virtually all of these approaches are non-invasive and can be carried out to study temporal developments in vivo.
The Molecular Imaging North Competence Center (MOIN CC) was founded in 2010 and is operated by the Sektion Biomedizinische Bildgebung, Klinik für Radiologie und Neuroradiologie. MOIN CC is registered at the DFG Research Infrastructure Portal as imaging core facility at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (http://risources.dfg.de/detail/RI_00066_de.html).
MOIN CC was founded by a grant from the Zukunftsprogramm Wirtschaft of the state of Schleswig-Holstein and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The laboratory was set up as a core unit for academic users but also to provide imaging services for the private sector, for biomedical companies in the north of Germany and beyond. MOIN Services is the team within MOIN CC offering imaging and encapsulation services to industry clients.
It focuses on the development of new innovative diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the detection and treatment of oncological, neurological, and skeletal disorders. The scientific concept is driven by multimodal, multiparametric, molecular, and micromorphological imaging as well as translational research.
The scientific concept is driven by multimodal, multiparametric, molecular, and micromorphological imaging as well as translational research. Artificial Intelligence methods are being developed at MOIN CC and are applied to the aforementioned research and disease areas to enhance performance, automate processing and improve the quality of biomedical imaging.
