Sanjay Tiwari obtained his PhD in the hematology department at University College of London, UK and worked 4 years as a post-doctoral fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, researching in the field of hematological diseases. Since arriving in Germany in 2005, he has been working as a Principal Scientist at the University Hospital in Kiel where his research interest has focused on application of molecular imaging for the study of disease processes, particularly in bone metastases and pancreatic cancer. He has published 25 peer reviewed papers with a sum impact factor of over 100 and is joint holder of several DFG grants.
