Mariya Pravdivtseva was born in 1994 in Kokui, Russia. Mariya studied Biological and Chemical Physics at Novosibirsk State University, which she finished in 2017 with a Master’s degree. Besides, she worked as a laboratory assistant at International Tomography Center (Novosibirsk, Russia), with a research focus on NMR-based metabolomics of the laboratory rodents’ tissues (brain, liver, blood)

Then, Marya has joined a multidisciplinary project, “Materials for Brain,” funded by DFG as a Ph.D. student. Her research goal is to develop a platform for flow-sensitive MR imaging in vitro, focusing on hemodynamics in intracranial vessels and the treatment of vascular pathologies. Rapid 3D printing technology is utilized to produce vessels replicas from clinical human images.

Mariya is a versatile and creative person whose interests range from being a chocolatier to a yoga teacher.
